Bio
Nebojsa Macura was born in 1982 in Belgrade, Serbia, and immigrated
to the United States in 1990. He currently attends the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, and will graduate in May 2005 with a Bachelor of
Music degree in composition. His principal teachers include Laura
Schwendinger, Scott Gendel, Stephen Dembski, and Joel Naumann.
Mr. Macura’s compositions have been performed by the UW
Contemporary Chamber Ensemble and various other student chamber groups
at the UW School of Music. He is an assistant conductor of the
Contemporary Vocal Ensemble, a Madison-based student/community choir
dedicated to new music.
